It all started with a Bolex and determination. Years later I am producing my sixth feature film, Dirty Beautiful. Feature films, short films -  I remember them all like we wrapped production yesterday. My first short, 3AM Eternal, earned me my degree from Brooks Institute. That same year while still in school I was hired to manage my first feature A Father’s Son. From one film to another is pretty much how it works. In between there have been a few short films, commercials, and more than one Mexican music video.

For two years I was the Production Specialist for the California Film Commission where I consulted on productions such as Kill Bill and Spiderman as well as the X-Files and Fear Factor.

Dirty Beautiful is my third film I am producing with Justin Hogan. The first two: The Americans are Coming and Stanley’s Gig starring Faye Dunaway, played to strong festival audiences worldwide and won their fair share of awards. The Starz Network distributed Stanley’s Gig.

Over the years I have seen the progress of film production. From hand cranking a 16mm Bolex and literally editing the film by hand to today’s digital domain. And during that technical revolution one thing has never changed, the story. Without a good story all the technology in the world can’t make a good film. It's been exciting to work with Justin again and wouldn’t be aboard if I didn’t believe in Tim and Dirty Beautiful.
